SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AT BMW
January - June 2023 : Munich, Germany
During my 6-month internship at the BMW IT Center in Munich, I worked on the Supply-Chain Capacity Management Team.
This team is responsible for overseeing and managing the development of the full-stack capacity management system, used internationally by BMW suppliers and buyers.
I worked with the management team to administer the high-level design of the system, including its architecture and new features.
Additional to the system management, I actively participated in the development process with the systems development team in South Africa. This included scrum meetings, following agile development processes, and regular contributions to the system.
The challenges of working on a legacy system in a fast-paced environment, in another language, have undeniable prepared me for a career in Software.
RPA DEVELOPMENT AT CONVERGE-ONE GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS
May - August 2022 : Remote
At Converge-One Government Solutions, I developed Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for a variety of employees to improve internal efficiency, minimizing the time spent on redundant tasks. These tasks included excel data manipulation, formatting, and visualization. The processes I automated relied on multiple applications, which required me to familiarize myself with Computer Vision and dynamic UI elements.
The team I worked with at Converge-One recognized my writing abilities and requested that I document the RPA process in the style of a blog. I regularly wrote short blog posts explaining how I incorporated RPA into the business, with the goal of helping other businesses understand the process and how RPA can increase overall productivity.
